Members of the Valley’s commercial real-estate business community have raised $175,000 for local children’s charities.

Wessex Companies alone raised $15,000 as part of Brokers for Kids, a yearlong fundraising drive culminating in the annual Olympiad Challenge, a series of fun physical team challenges. Jones Lang Lasalle was the 2011 winner of the Olympiad.

The primary beneficiary of the effort is Boys Hope Girls Hope of Arizona, which provides support systems for low-income, at-risk children ages 11 to 18.
