During a 1-mile hike, kids ages 7-12 learn what to do if they get lost in the desert, how to find their way back, signal for help, build an emergency shelter, and protect themselves from desert dangers. Each child must be accompanied by an adult and bring water, a hat and closed-toe shoes.
