Goodwill of Central Arizona has kicked off a new partnership to benefit nine local charities.

Called “Band Together to Spread Goodwill,” the promotion features “giving bands” designed by Charity Charms.

The giving bands cost $9.97 and will be sold beginning Aug. 1 at all 45 Goodwill retail locations.

A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of the bands will benefit nine charities: Arizona Humane Society; Fresh Start Women’s Foundation; Ryan House; Sojourner Center, SAARC; A New Leaf; St. Mary’s Food Bank; STARS; and Goodwill of Central Arizona.

To show its commitment to the partnership, Goodwill presented a check for $1,350 to each of the charities at a launch party earlier this month.
