At its first meeting of the new year Tuesday, the West Valley Women group introduced its 2011 leadership.

Linda Cavanaugh of Cavanaugh Realty will serve as the group’s director and Jeannie Drobina, Nicole Black and Patricia Leupp will be ambassadors.

The networking group meets monthly at Skye restaurant, 16844 N. Arrowhead Fountain Center Drive, Peoria.

Cavanaugh, who is married to former Goodyear Mayor Jim Cavanaugh, has been a member of West Valley Women for about two years.

“It’s all about networking, philanthropy and community spirit,” Cavanaugh said of the group.

Cavanaugh also is a member of the board of Arizona Assistance in Health Care and the Luke Officers Support Club.

Cavanaugh has been in the real estate business for 10 years, and prior to that worked in human resources and business development. She and Jim base their full-service real estate brokerage firm in Goodyear.

She said philanthropy is an important part of the work with West Valley Women.

“At the end of the day, we help make a difference some way,” she said.
