The Arizona Department of Transportation is planning several freeway restrictions this weekend.
The Santan Freeway stretch of Loop 202 will be closed eastbound at Price Road in Chandler. In addition, northbound Price will be closed between Spectrum Boulevard and Frye Road in Chandler.
In the West Valley, the Agua Fria Freeway stretch of Loop 101 will be narrowed to one northbound lane between Indian School and Camelback roads in Glendale. The restriction will be lifted Sunday morning in time for an expected increase in area traffic for events at Phoenix International Raceway and Glendale baseball facilities.
Crews will then restrict the freeway to one lane again northbound from 10 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
The good news is there's no road construction on Interstate 10 west of Phoenix this weekend due to the NASCAR race.
