The Ahwatukee Blue, 7 and 8 year olds, finished second in the Pony baseball Pinto League state tournament.
The tournament was at Kyrene Akimel Middle School with the Blue going 4-0 in pool play before losing 18-9 to the Chandler Red in the championship game.
Caleb Stanely, Cade Colemere, John Kretschmar and Brice Brassfield had a solid tournament, according to coach Andy Hayes.
