ADDRESS: 7582 W. Cactus Road, Suite B1, Peoria, on the northwest corner of 75th Avenue.

HOURS: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, noon to 9 p.m. Sunday.

OWNER: Nick Sahtouris; James Povlitz, general manager.

CUISINE: Old Italian, with a East Coast flair.

SEATS: Six tables with a total of 12 seats.



SPECIALTY OF THE HOUSE: Pizza, wings, steak sandwiches, calzones.

POPULAR APPETIZER: Wings (mild, hot or barbecue), fried zucchini and fried mushrooms.

POPULAR LUNCH: Sandwiches made with Boar’s Head meats and cheeses; gyros; salads.

POPULAR DINNER: 14-inch large pepperoni or cheese pizza; tomato, basil and garlic pizza; variety of pasta dishes.

POPULAR DESSERT: Cannoli; homemade rice pudding; tiramisu; New York-style cheesecake.

AVAILABLE FOR: Dine in, take out, catering, delivery.

PRICE RANGE: $5 to $20.

WHAT ELSE YOU SHOULD KNOW: Footlong sandwiches for $5.25 are available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Delivery is free within a 3-mile radius; there is a charge outside of 3 miles. The store uses only the freshest ingredients, and the dough, sauces and desserts are handmade daily in house. All menu items are made to order. “If we can find a way to make it work, we’ll get you what you need,” Povlitz said.

UNIQUE TIDBITS: Sahtouris and his family are originally from Boston and bring to the Valley their 30 years of experience after owning two restaurants and a bakery in Boston. 

FUTURE PLANS: Povlitz said he hopes to work more with various groups in the city, including schools and the City of Peoria, and to expand catering services. As the business grows, he said he will evaluate additional locations and possibly acquire a liquor license to serve beer.
