About 12 million Americans are affected by food allergies and, according to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN), this potentially life-threatening medical condition is increasing in prevalence. The Valley FAAN’s “Walk for Food Allergy: Moving Toward a Cure” will take place Dec. 3 at Tempe Park, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway.

The event will include special visitors: Sparky (ASU), Baxter (Arizona Diamondbacks), The Gorilla (Phoenix Suns), and Howler (Phoenix Coyotes). In addition, kids can see clowns, take part in face painting, bouncy houses, balloon artists, arts and crafts booths, music and more.
