The Mountain Pointe girls basketball team won the East Valley Region for the second-straight year and was rewarded with the most appointments to the all-region teams.
Senior Aleks Cataruzolo and freshman Kaylah Lupoe were first-team picks, while sophomore Caitlyn Hetrick was chosen for the second team.
Freshman Maddy Sulka, sophomore Ashley Clubb and junior Hannah Sharpe were honorable mention selections.
Mesa Desert Ridge's Gabby Washington was named Player of the Year and Mesa Westwood's DJ Spetz was Coach of the Year.
Rounding out the first team were Gilbert Perry's Sarah Beth Hock, Tempe Marcos de Niza's Sydnie Lengyel, Westwood's Grace Alvarez and Desert Ridge's Brooke Violette.
