ASU tailgaters
Tribune file

Fans planning on tailgating ASU football games will no longer be able to bring kegs, use alcohol-related paraphernalia or engage in beer-heavy activities at certain tailgating parking lots per a new university policy.

According to a statement released by the school, the university will ban kegs, drinking apparatuses like beer bongs and drinking games like flip cup and beer pong in designated tailgating areas. The school cites safety concerns for its motivation for the changes, which align with policies enacted by Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona.
