Williams Field took down Queen Creek for another chapter in this growing rivalry by a score of 6-4. Queen Creek Pitcher Chase Beal opened the scoring in the 4th with a run scoring single which proved to be the only run until the 6th. Hudson Whillock's double in the top of the 6th tied the ball game and the Black Hawks scored another off the bat of Parker Behrmann. In the top of the 7th the Black Hawks scored four more by the sticks of juniors Hudson Whillock and Noah Jimenez. Stretch made it 6 2/3 innings until Quackenbush came in to get the last out as the Bulldogs made a 3 run come back, but left the tying run at first. Queen Creek's Beal and Still did the work on the mound for the Bulldogs, blanking the Black Hawks for 5 straight frames until they surged. Both teams played noticeably good defense and battled late. The last three meetings between these two have been decided by 2 runs or less. Queen Creek takes on Perry on the road this Friday, while Williams Field travels to McClintock to look to extend their 3 game win streak.
