Junior golf clinic scheduled at Longbow Golf Club

Visit Mesa and Longbow Golf Club will host a junior golf clinic for 200 Mesa grade-school students on Feb. 18.

The clinic will feature a B-25 flyover to kick off the LPGA/ Symetra Tour’s Visit Mesa Gateway Classic and a 120-player professional golf tournament scheduled for Feb. 21-23.

The Commemorative Air Force will fly over Longbow in a B-25 that morning at 11 a.m. and will drop several large bags full of golf gear including Volvik golf balls, First Tee T-shirts, golf visors from Antigua and more.

Mesa City Councilman, David Luna, will welcome students from Mesa’s Roosevelt and Keller Elementary Schools.

Six LPGA/Symetra Tour players will conduct the clinic, where students can improve their golf skills and learn what it takes to excel on the golf course and in the classroom.
