Dueling pianists pay homage to legendary acts

Double Grande Pianos in association with Arizona Entertainers presents a special engagement of Double Grande Dueling Grand Pianos, starring Wayland Pickard and Deborah Johnson, a premier vocal/piano duo and 2009 Grammy contenders.

Shows will be at 2 and 7 p.m. Feb. 9 at Sun Village, 17300 Sun Village Parkway in Surprise. Tickets are $20. A high-energy variety show filled with music, comedy and impressions is a tribute show to Broadway favorites as well as favorite duets of the decades such as Sonny and Cher, Carole King and James Taylor, Captain and Tenille, The Carpenters, John Lennon and Paul McCartney, Elton John and Billy Joel, Louis Armstrong and Carol Channing, Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion, George Burns and Gracie Allen and more, including a duet with Kermit and Miss Piggy.

Award-winning singer-pianists Pickard and Johnson have entertained audiences ages 8 to 80 at concert halls around the world with their Double Grande Experience with two grand pianos and vocals. For information about the show, e-mail amiller@sunvillage.org or call 623-546-8692.
