Fisher-Price has created an interactive play experience that will stop at the Phoenix Zoo from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 8 and 9, featuring activities for children from 6 months to 8 years old and their families.

This play area provides an engaging setting for thousands of young children to play, interact, have their photos taken with their favorite Fisher-Price characters and more.

Fisher-Price Playpen visitors can participate in various activities, including:

• Little rockers can bust a move with Rock Star Mickey in a 10-by-10-foot interactive play space. Kids can play with the new interactive plush and take home a “Rock Star Mickey Band Member on Board” window decal to commemorate the rockin’ time they had. Kids also can become part of the band through a green screen photo booth experience and walk away with their photo with Rock Star Mickey.

• Preschoolers can enjoy lots of fun toys from Fisher-Price brands including Little People, Dora the Explorer, Hero World and Imaginext. They can also check out the Preschool Electronics line at the Fisher-Price Tech Zone featuring the iXL Learning System and new Kid-Tough See Yourself Camera and Learn Through Music TouchPad.

• Children can let their imaginations soar by spending some quality role-play fun with the Loving Family Dollhouse and Beach Vacation Mobile Home, as well as become part of the construction scene with the Big Action Construction Site with Remote Control.

• The creativity area will offer doodling and stamping with the Doodle Bears and sing-alongs with The Sing-a-ma-jigs! characters. Plus, infants and parents can play together with toys from the Laugh & Learn line and more.

The zoo is at 455 N. Galvin Parkway, Phoenix.

WHAT: Join the Phoenix Zoo for Fisher-Price fun from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 8 and 9.

• Audition for the Rock Star Mickey band and pose for an official band photo.

• Film your child making a favorite animal noise for the Little People Animal Sounds Contest.

• Screen new videos at the Fisher-Price Theater.

• Cruise around the Fisher-Price Power Wheels driving track, featuring the new Dune Racer.

Special guest appearances will be by Rescue Heroes Billy Blazes Saturday and Dora the Explorer Sunday.
