If the last time you visited ASU Art Museum was as an undergrad, you ought to go back — with your kids.

ASU Art Museum Family Fun Day has built a reputation over the years as a solid place for families to have a good time while getting a little fine-art culture.

During the event, you can tour the museum’s summer exhibition, “Words of Art,” which was curated to appeal to families.

Outside the galleries, you’ll find performances by The Blue Bike Kid Show and Zumbatomics. Characters from the PBS Kids show “Super Why” will make an appearance. A booth sponsored by Changing Hands Bookstore will feature presentations with children’s book authors and illustrators Chris Gall (“Substitute Creacher”) and Adam Rex (“The True Meaning of Smekday”).

There’s also face-painting and a host of make-and-take craft activities involving finger puppets, book marks, bracelets, key chains, journals, goofy glasses, buttons and wind chimes.
