American Heart Association names new senior vice president

The American Heart Association Western States Affiliate names Kelly Grose senior vice president for the organization's Greater Phoenix Division. Grose is now responsible for leading the American Heart Association's efforts to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke throughout the greater Phoenix area.

Grose, an Arizona State University graduate and fifth generation Arizonan, has been a leader with the American Heart Association since 2005. She most recently served as executive director for the organization's Orange County, Calif., division.

Prior to joining the American Heart Association, Grose served as major gifts director for the American Red Cross. She was deputy finance director for the California Republican Party and held several positions on the staff of former Arizona Congressman John Shadegg.
