The Mesa Police Department is seeking help identifying a man or men responsible for eight robberies in the past week.

The robber is described as white, between the ages of 20 and 25, 6 feet tall to 6 feet 2 inches tall, 170 to 180 pounds, with brown or blond hair and a mustache. One witness mentioned seeing acne on the robber's face. The man was described as wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. In three cases, the robber was described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 140 pounds. Police believe the two men alternate entering the businesses.

The men enter the business and ask an employee if they can make change. When told they must make a purchase for the register to be opened, they decide to purchase an item. In most of the incidents, the men seem rushed and always leave on foot. During one incident, the man was seen getting into the passenger seat of a dark green, full-size regular cab pickup truck.

The robbery locations are: Jamba Juice, 1653 S. Dobson Road, Mesa, Dec. 30; Waffle house, 1831 S. Country Club Drive, Mesa, Dec. 30; Starbucks, 1457 W. Southern Ave., Mesa, Jan. 1; Pizza Patron, 345 N. Country Club Drive, Mesa, Jan. 2; Jamba Juice, 1555 N. Gilbert Road, Gilbert, Jan. 3; Mezona Motor Hotel, 250 W. Main St., Mesa, Jan. 4; Golden Spoon, 754 S. Val Vista Drive, Gilbert; Dunkin' Donuts, 1198 E. Baseline Road, Mesa, Jan. 5.

Anyone with information can call Mesa police at (480) 644-2211 or Silent Witness: (480) 948-6377.
