Police have arrested a Chandler man after his 7-month-old daughter died from a skull fracture and bleeding on her brain.
Sergio Thomas, 21, was watching the girl and faces charges of two counts of child abuse and one count of first-degree murder.
Chandler police responded Monday morning to a residence in the 1200 block of West Whitten to assist paramedics treating the girl. She was taken to a local hospital and later airlifted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital in critical condition.
Detective Frank Mendoza said the girl died Tuesday morning from her injuries.
