SanTan Brewing Company in downtown Chandler announced a $4 million expansion plan.

The brewery is increasing its brewing area by more than 12,000 square feet, installing seven 30-barrel fermentation tanks to increase capacity to more than 5,000 barrels annually, and adding canning machinery to bring its craft beers to the retail market. The expansion will be completed by June 1.

“We are thrilled about this expansion,” said Anthony Canecchia, owner and head brew master, in a statement. “This expansion gives us the opportunity to continue to grow in Chandler and open new markets as we expand distribution throughout Arizona. Our patrons will be very pleased with the improvements that are coming.”

SanTan will install canning system capable of producing thirty 12-ounce cans per minute. According to Canecchia, the company will begin canning two brands: HopShock IPA and Epicenter American Amber. Within six months, SanTan has plans to can Devil’s West Coast Pale Ale and HefeWeizen Wheat.
