Annual Chili Cook-Off and Family FestivalBring your family out to celebrate fall with the annual chili cook-off, family festival and concert from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at Mountain View Lutheran Church, 11002 S. 48th St. There will be chili to sample (and kid-friendly food for the little ones), a storyteller, games and entertainment.

 

The cost is $5 per person or $15 per family and tickets are available at the church office, before and after weekend services and at the door.

If interested in bringing a pot of chili to be sampled and judged, contact Gail at (480) 893-2579.

Phoenix Boys Choir Fall Gala

The Phoenix Boys Choir's annual Fall Gala will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at Memorial Hall at Steele Indian School Park, 300 E. Indian School Road. The evening will feature a performance by the choir, a jazz ensemble and live auction. The choir will also honor Ralph Rockow for his long-term commitment to the organization.

Attire is cocktail. Individual tickets are $125, and table sponsorships are available. All proceeds benefit the Phoenix Boys Choir.
