Harry C. Watters, D.O., of Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers, was this year’s recipient of the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA) Humanitarian Award.
Every year, the AOMA chooses a member for the award who donates his or her time or efforts to improve mankind. Watters was selected as a result of the work he does organizing free medical clinics for residents and volunteering his time as a board member with the Boys and Girls Clubs of the East Valley.
Watters has delivered more than 12,000 babies in the Chandler community since 1983. In addition to being a board member with the Boys and Girls Clubs of the East Valley, he also serves on the board of directors for Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank.
