Kyrene Adventure week pairs critical thinking skills, teamwork and fun for an exciting and challenging week of “out-of-the-box” thinking activities. Monday through Thursday, students will participate in Project Adventure Initiatives progressing from low-level challenges and culminating in a high-level ropes course on Friday.

There are four basic elements of an adventure experience: trust, communication, cooperation and fun. Students will learn about cooperation, understanding teamwork, effective communication skills, developing and maintaining trust, decision making strategies and employ creative problem solving skills.

Students are faced with daily activities that make them think creatively about problem solving. Each activity concludes with a debriefing to discuss observations and reflect on the experience.

On Friday, July 13, students will be bussed to a high ropes course in Prescott, Ariz., for a day of outdoor adventure fun. On this day students will need to arrive to the program early, bring water, and a sack lunch.
