Goodbye, awkward dates and ugly dresses; the Children’s Museum of Phoenix prom is all about having fun with friends.

From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, May 31, adults can enjoy retro games, art projects, photo booths, Atari gaming walls, and dancing at the downtown museum, with food and drink provided by local food trucks and cash bars.

No children are allowed at this "Play Date" for adults 21 and older. You may dress up or down, bring a date or a crowd, and even nominate yourself for homecoming king or queen.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at ChildrensMuseumOfPhoenix.org. For information, call (602) 253-0501.
