Owner: Jessica DeVilbiss

Q: Where are you from and what did you do before opening your business?

A: I am from Idaho, and I moved to Arizona to attend aesthetic school at 17. Before I opened Glow I worked as an aesthetician in Ahwatukee for six years.

Q: Why did you open your business in this community?

A: I always saw Ahwatukee as a community that shared my values in family, exercise and health. I base my practice in treating your skin as an organ and making it as healthy as possible, and I felt Ahwatukee residence would thrive on that philosophy.

Q: How did you get the idea to open your business?

A: I had practiced at locations in my career where professionalism and service quality were not a priority. I wanted to create a location were they were. I also wanted women to feel like they were visiting good friends when they came to Glow. I wanted the energy to be warm and inviting, not like a typical salon/spa environment, were there is tension in the air and cattiness behind the scenes.

Q: What type of merchandise/services do you sell?

A: We specialize in skin care: Everything from Eminence Organic facial treatments, Rhonda Allison Corrective facials, Oxygen facials to more invasive treatments like Chemical Peels and Microdermabrasion. We also offer a variety of services like acupuncture, massage therapy, waxing and Jane Iredale Make up applications. We are always updating our services as well as the professional products we retail.

Q: What does your business have in store for the future?

A: We have a lot of exciting things happening this year at Glow. We are adding Organic Manicure and Pedicure Services. As well as Oncology Aesthetic Services, Micocurrent Facials, and adding Jan Marini to our professional product line selection. We are also looking forward to our involvement with local nonprofits, where we participate in fundraising and volunteering throughout the year.

Q: Anything else you want the community to know about you or your business?

A: It is our goal to have every client walk away saying that was the best service they have ever had. My team of therapist, as well as myself, always strives to give an amazing service and to offer superior knowledge in our field.
