A steady rainfall is heading to the East Valley, and it's heading our way fast.

The rainfall, which is being brought in through a series of storm disturbances from the Pacific, is scheduled to begin in some areas of the Valley around sunrise and will remain steady between 11 a.m. to about 3 p.m. on Thursday, according to Hector Vasquez, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service at Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix.

Nighttime temperatures will drop into the low 50s, with daytime highs in the low 60s Thursday and Friday. A steady warming trend will continue through the weekend.

"It looks like a good-old fashioned cold front," said Vasquez. "It's coming our way, and it's coming very fast."

Vasquez said that areas of the Valley will get anywhere from a fourth-inch to a half-inch of rain.
