Here: Tickets on sale for ARC performance

The Entertainers will host Curtis Knox at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at the Ahwatukee Recreation Center, 5001 E. Cheyenne Drive. Knox amazed Arizona with his incredible voice at the 2010 Senior Idol.

Tickets are $7 each and are on sale from 9 to 10:30 a.m. through Nov. 12, or until sold out. No sales on Sunday.

Near: Hocus Pocus Pops at the Phoenix Symphony

The Phoenix Symphony will present Hocus Pocus Pops - Pops Concert No. 3 at 8 p.m. Oct. 29 and 30 and 2 p.m. Oct. 31 at Symphony Hall, 75 N. Second St. Conductor Michael Krajewski will lead The Phoenix Symphony in a chilling performance of ghoulish favorites inspired by Halloween themes. Tickets start at $18.

The concert will begin at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30. Daddies, mummies and little ghosts and goblins are invited to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes. The concert includes Lemony Snickett's The Composer is Dead, a creepy, murder mystery from the same author of the popular book series that teaches children about the different instruments in an orchestra. This will be an afternoon of tricks, treats and suspenseful music. An imaginative blend of chilling music and spirited fun is sure to spook you into the season. Pre-concert activities start at 1:30 p.m. - dress up the whole family and participate in the ever-popular Halloween costume contest. Winners will receive a prize. Tickets are $10 to $18.
