The state saw another jump in the number of lab-confirmed influenza cases in late December.
The newest report, from the week ending Dec. 25, showed 294 additional cases of influenza. Across the state, there have been 740 lab-confirmed cases of the respiratory virus.
There have been no influenza-associated pediatric deaths this year, according to the report.
The numbers are far below the cases confirmed last year when the novel H1N1 virus was discovered, but still represent only a small number of possible influenza cases since most people don't go to the doctor.
