According to the American Cancer Society, in 2009 more than 190,000 new cases of breast cancer were diagnosed in women. Join Valerie Sheridan, D.O., as she discusses overall breast health, including mammograms, self exams and the signs, symptoms and treatments for breast cancer during “Breast Health 101: What You Need to Know” 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at Mountain Vista Medical Center, 1301 S. Crismon Road, Mesa. Participants will be entered for a chance to win a free manicure.
