The Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce announced Monday the appointment of Anne Gill as chamber president and chief executive officer, effective Nov. 7.

Gill has experience as a nonprofit leader, with more than 20 years business administration experience in Florida, Alaska and Arizona. As CEO of the Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce she will be responsible for providing ongoing support, resources, and community connections for local businesses.

"I am very excited about the opportunities in Ahwatukee as we continue on a successful path for the Chamber of Commerce," Gill said. "The chamber will progress towards the future, growing membership, strengthening events and building partnerships. I look forward to meeting with the members in the coming weeks to determine their expectations of the chamber and to ensure that their needs are being met."

Gill has a bachelor's degree in international business and is a marketing specialist, with experience in corporate development and community outreach, fundraising and special events management. She is a member of the Organization of Nonprofit Executives and the Arizona Small Business Association.

Gill and her husband own a small business located near Ahwatukee, and have several family members who reside in Ahwatukee.
