Surprise police are investigating a two-car collision that occurred at 6:35 p.m. Friday at the intersection of West Bell Road and North Cotton Lane.

Preliminary reports indicate that a tan sedan was traveling eastbound on Bell Road, approaching the intersection of Bell and Cotton Lane, when a red coupe made a left turn in front of the tan vehicle in an effort to go south on Cotton Lane from Bell Road.

The driver of one of the vehicles was transported to John C. Lincoln Hospital North for a possible skull fracture and fractured left clavicle, and the driver of the other vehicle was transported to Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center for pain sustained in the collision, as well as a seat belt burn to the upper torso area.

The incident is under investigation.
