AAA Arizona will offer free battery testing for vehicle owners 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 28 at its Chandler office, 4040 W. Ray Road, Suite 2. If your battery needs replacement you can purchase one from the organization that carries a 72-month warranty with no mileage limit. No appointment is necessary.

AAA recommends drivers take the following steps to ensure good battery life:

• Buy batteries that are no more than six months old based on the code stamped into the battery.

• Check batteries routinely, asking technicians that service your vehicle to clean corrosion from terminals, case, brackets and tray.

• Maintain batteries, replacing loose cables and brackets as well as worn or damaged alternator drives, which can diminish recharging power.
