Phoenix Boys Choir perform

Phoenix Boys Choir: The renowned choristers and hand bell ensemble perform a festive holiday concert.

The Phoenix Boys Choir will perform the holiday concert “Sugar Plums and Jingle Bells” Dec. 13, 14, 16, 20 and 22 at locations across the Valley.

Under the guidance of artistic director Georg Stangelberger, the choir will perform holiday favorites such as Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Cantata 191,” “Sleigh Ride-Jingle Bells” medley, and an enactment of “‘Twas The Night Before Christmas.”

Performances range from Paradise Valley to Sun City, but we’re marking the 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, show on our calendars. It’ll be held at St. Mary’s Basilica (231 N. Third St.) in Phoenix, a stunning venue steeped in sacred art, architecture and history. The second-oldest church in Phoenix, St. Mary’s beginnings go back to the 1800s.
