As part of its new "Art from the Heart" program, this month's Downtown Chandler Art Walk, which will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, will be partnering with the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The Art Walk takes place the third Friday of every month along the sidewalks of downtown Chandler.
Visitors that stop by the Susan G. Komen booth will receive information on breast cancer awareness along with a coupon offering discounts for purchases that night from participating artists and merchants. They will also have an opportunity to make donations to this important cause.
In addition to artists along the sidewalks, there will be artists under the ramadas in Dr. A.J. Chandler Park and artist demonstrations. The popular local band Grove Street will be performing.
A free art activity for the kids is available from 6 to 8 p.m., courtesy of Bonnie Lou Coleman and Art Online AZ. Visitors will also get a chance to vote for the "Artist of the Month."
