Arizona legislators on Tuesday will review Attorney General Tom Horne’s plan for use of the state’s $6 million share of a multistate settlement with the drug company Johnson & Johnson.

The Joint Legislative Budget Committee will review Horne’s plan to use $2 million of the settlement share for consumer fraud investigations and related consumer education.

An additional $4 million is to be used for research and programs related to mental illness, dementia and development and learning disorders.

The settlement with Johnson and Johnson subsidiary Janssen Pharmaceuticals Inc. stems from marketing of anti-psychotic drugs.
