Four new specialty plates are now available to Arizona drivers, with themes featuring the Arizona Centennial, Channel 8 PBS, Boy Scouts of Arizona and hunger relief. The plates are available as personalized, non-personalized or with the disability symbol. Each plate costs $25 a year, and another $25 a year for personalized plates. The Motor Vehicle Division sets aside $17 from each fee to the organization that sponsors the specialty plate.

Depending on the plate chosen, the funds go to the Arizona Centennial 2012 Foundation/Arizona Historical Advisory Commission, the Grand Canyon Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Arizona Foundation of Public Broadcast Television or the Association of Arizona Food Banks.

Drivers who order a non-personalized plate receive one plate and those who order a personalized plate will get two plates. The plates can be purchased at any MVD office or at www.ServiceArizona.com.
