The Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce is aiming to gain its own identity by moving to a new location on Chandler Boulevard.

The move will take place next week and is expected to be complete by March 19.

The chamber moved into its current location at 3840 E. Ray Road a year ago, but Anne Gill, chamber chief executive officer and president, said the current location was a temporary one.

“The current space was a short-term solution for the chamber,” Gill said. “Our current landlords have been wonderful, but the chamber needs a space to have its own identity and its own location instead of a shared space.”

The chamber currently shares a building with Keller Williams Commercial, Connecting to Serve and Comprehensive Property Inspections. They will be moving to 4435 E. Chandler Blvd., Suite 140, a space that offers 1,860 square feet of offices, a reception area, a spacious conference room and other amenities.

“We looked at more than six different locations and this gave us the room to grow for the future and the space that we need at this time,” Gill said. “Our new landlords have been so accommodating and welcoming getting us into this new space.”

The new location will have a sign on the wall as well as a monument sign to give the chamber more visibility. The chamber will host an open house for the community at its new home on a date to be determined. The chamber’s phone number, (480) 753-7676, and fax number, (480) 753-3898, will not change.
