West Valley Senior Games seeks participants

Seniors are invited to participate Nov. 19 in the 4th West Valley Senior Games.

The West Valley Senior Games is presented by Robson Resort Communities and will take place at Pebble Creek in Goodyear. The games feature a variety of athletic events for all participants 50-plus years of age.

West Valley Senior Games is endorsed by Arizona Senior Olympics. Each registered participant receives an event T-shirt, goodie bag and lunch.

Team and individual categories for some events and competitions are in age groups 50-plus, 60-plus and 70-plus. Medals will be awarded Olympic style. 

The events are:

• Bocce – Men, and Women Doubles, Co Rec 4-man teams.

• Tennis – Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles.

• Pickleball – Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles.

• Softball – Men’s – Limited to 16 teams.

• Swimming – Men and Women – Various medleys, freestyle, butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, IM and relay.

• Wii bowling tournament – Competitive and Recreational.

Registration on the day of the games begins 7:30 a.m. Nov. 19 at Pebble Creek, 16150 W. Clubhouse Drive, Goodyear. Registration costs are $20 per person per event if made by Nov. 4; $25 per person per event until Nov. 11.

Admission is free.
