A Valley chef and his team will soon attempt to cook the largest sausage the Valley has ever seen.

Payton Curry, chef at Scottsdale’s Brat Haus, and his helpers will assemble and cook 50 feet of artisan sausage, in an effort to raise money for the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Arizona.

Patrons can purchase the sausage for $2 per inch, with 100 percent of the money going to the charity. The event takes place 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at Brat Haus, 3622 N. Scottsdale Road.

January is Cervical Health Awareness Month. The Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Arizona has provided help and hope for women with ovarian cancer since 2008. For information, call (480) 947-4006 or visit BratHausAZ.com or OCAZ.org.
