The Arizona Humane Society recently opened a new cat isolation area at its Phoenix location to help sick cats recover. The isolation area has 34 kennels and a separate ventilation system that will allow AHS to care for 600 more cats each year.

In addition to helping the cats’ health, the new area allows AHS to increase cat adoptions and improves the quality of life for animals in the area.

Those who enter the area must wear gowns, show covers and gloves to better protect the cats from outside illnesses.

For more information on the cats and adoption, people can visit www.azhumane.org.
