Peter Franklyn Romeo Jr., a 2007 Desert Vista High School graduate, passed away Sunday, Feb. 20 at Mercy Medical Center in Gilbert at the age of 22. He was surrounded by family and friends who loved and adored him. Peter currently was serving our country as a United States Marine and was training for deployment to Afghanistan March 16. He is survived by his mother, Dina Knight; father, Pete Romeo; sisters, Christina, Stephanie, Brooke and Brianna; along with his step-parents, Laurie Romeo and Josh Knight; grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. His life was cut way to short, and he will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Visitation will be at Carr-Tenney Mortuary from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25 and funeral services will be at Corpus Christi Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26. Peter will be laid to rest at Valley of the Sun Cemetery in Chandler.
