The search for a family-pleasing staycation just got a little easier, thanks to one of Chandler’s lushest resorts.

Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort and Spa might just keep the kids entertained and the parents in blissful vacation mode with its LEGO summer camp weekends.

Offered June 14-16, July 12-14 and August 2-4 for children ages 5-10, things start off with a 5 p.m. Friday acoustic guitar and ice cream social for families at the Hanyo Poolside Bar & Grill, followed by Native American storytelling and s’mores around a fire pit.

Saturday, kids are kept busy with individual and large-scale LEGO building and play sessions, interactive gaming stations, a lunch buffet, visits with creatures from Sea Life Arizona aquarium, and a movie at the resort’s main pool.

In the meantime, mom and dad can relax poolside with two complimentary drinks, shop at the newly opened Phoenix Premium Outlets (you get a $20 gift card and free shuttle service with this deal), or take advantage of a 20-percent discount at the resort’s Whirlwind Golf Club and Aji Spa.

A 4 p.m. Sunday checkout means families can sleep late or lounge at the pool together before heading home.

Camps are limited to 80 children per workshop, and reservations are required. Rates start at $159 per night. A two-night stay is required.

Each family is entered to win a two-night stay at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort and Spa and four two-day passes to LEGOLAND California.
