After a slight dip last week, lab-confirmed influenza reports increased again in the most recent report on the state Department of Health Services website.
In the week ending Jan. 15, 422 cases were confirmed in the state, with 225 in Maricopa County. The numbers represent just a small amount of cases since many people do not see a doctor or undergo lab-confirmed testing.
Influenza is widespread in the state, according to health officials.
