For weeks now, the women of St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Chandler have been preparing dolmathes, spanakopita, pastichio, baklava, kourambiedes, loukoumades and a wealth of other Greek delicacies in preparation for the annual spring “Taste of Greece” festival, which kicks off Friday.

The festival highlights the traditions, music, and entertainment of Greece with live folk dancing, dance workshops, cooking demonstrations, an “agora” marketplace with Greek imports, icons, imports and jewelry, a kids fun zone, along with lots of food.

All proceeds benefit the church.
