As part of its National Catholic Schools Week celebration, Catholic Education Arizona launched a “Favorite Catholic School” on Facebook.
Thirty-nine diocesan kindergarten, elementary schools and high schools were given the opportunity to receive a share of $25,000 in scholarships for low-income students.
Winners were selected based on total votes registered. The contest ended Feb. 14 with a total of 17,979 votes recorded.
Ahwatukee Foothills’ St. John Bosco won second place with 2,433 votes and was given $5,000. The second place winner of the high schools was Seton Catholic Prep in Chandler, with 473 votes and winning $2,500.
