If you haven't been by the patio at Monti's La Casa Vieja in Tempe for a while, it's changed.

Re-opened for a little more than a month now as its own new dining concept separate from the historic restaurant inside, the space is now called Tempe's Front Porch.

An outdoor restaurant and bar with couches, fire pits, misters, caged-rock walls and shade sails, it offers lunch, a tapas-style dinner menu of modern Latin fare and 13 specialty craft beers revolving on the tap.

On the menu are dishes like sea bass crudo with pickled watermelon radishes, spiced pepitas and Meyer lemon vinaigrette ($14); chorizo deviled eggs with salsa, potato straws and whole-grain mustard ($8); and a Sonoran-style hot dog with bacon, peppers, queso fresca and avocado salsa ($7).

Bar specials include $3 off specialty margaritas starting at 4 p.m. Mondays, half off whiskey, bourbon and scotch starting 7 p.m. Tuesdays, random beer in a bag for $1 on Wednesdays, $3 off glasses of wine Thursdays after 4 p.m., and bottomless mimosas and bloody Marys for $10 per person 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekends.
