Arizona native Laura Walsh is belting out the high notes and turning heads in the process.

This 22-year-old country music singer from Maricopa is on her rise to fame, opening up for acts such as Miranda Lambert and Chris Cagle. Walsh has also performed the national anthem for several of the Valley’s professional sports teams.

“Her career is right at the cusp where she is about to get big. This next year for her is going to be quite a ride,” says her manager, Jay Mayer.

On her rise to the top, Walsh is making sure to give back as well. She is a strong advocate for the fight against domestic violence and sex trafficking. She most recently collected hundreds of bras to donate to “Project Rose,” a non-profit organization that has helped more than 300 victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking get their lives back on track.

Through the ups and downs of her young career, Walsh is focused on making a difference and empowering young women. She is scheduled for several more large concerts in the Valley, and hopes to soon make it to the national stage.

“Seeing that this is reality is the weirdest, craziest feeling. It’s very surreal,” says Walsh.
