Love fashion but can’t exactly jet off to runway shows in New York or Milan? You can see a fashion show right here at home when The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) hosts its parade of 150 outfits created by 53 first- and second-year fashion students.
The designs will be judged by experts in the fashion merchandising industry, and the top three students will be awarded scholarships.
The fashion show also showcases work from other EVIT programs, including hair and makeup done by cosmetology students, outfit display and chair designs by interior design students and music provided by broadcasting majors.
The show takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 2, inside EVIT’s Culinary Arts building at 1601 W. Main St. in Mesa. Tickets are on sale now and cost $20 for front-row seating, $10 for second-row seating and $5 for general seating.
