Long before Shania Twain, Faith Hill and, most recently, Taylor Swift had their songs cross over from the Country chart to the Pop/Top 40 charts there was Wynonna Judd.

As one of the few artists recognizable by just her first name, Wynonna’s music has been enjoyed by all ages since she appeared on the music scene in the early-1980s as part of the mother-daughter duo The Judds.

Wynonna continues her successful multi-platinum solo career, launched in 1992, with her newest release, Love Heals, which debuts Monday, May 24, at Cracker Barrel locations only in support of Wounded Warrior Project. The Ahwatukee Foothills Cracker Barrel is at Interstate 10 and Chandler Boulevard, 5022 E. Chandler Blvd.

Love Heals is a collection of Wynonna’s top singles and three other tracks not available for sale until now. Wounded Warrior Project assists wounded service men and women and their families, and Cracker Barrel will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every Love Heals CD to the organization.

“I am deeply moved by the caregivers who take on the responsibility of caring for our wounded warriors,” Wynonna said. “I appreciate Cracker Barrel for their continued support of Wounded Warrior Project and its mission to honor and empower wounded warriors as they continue life beyond the injury.”

The exclusive CD features many of Wynonna’s biggest hits like “No One Else On Earth,” “Only Love” and “She Is His Only Need,” along with three tracks that have not been available for sale, including “Let Your Light Shine,” a new song never before released.

“We’re very excited to provide our guests with this collection of Wynonna’s most popular songs,” said Peter Keiser, vice president of marketing at Cracker Barrel. “Wynonna welcomed the idea of producing a project that would benefit our nation’s service men and women.”

In addition, a special collection of retail products, personally selected by Wynonna, will be available at all Cracker Barrel locations, also starting May 24.

“I think Cracker Barrel represents everything that the Judds stood for: family, food and fellowship. I love the rocking chairs, and I feel really good when I go to Cracker Barrel,” Wynonna said. “When we talked about a Wynonna collection of retail products for Cracker Barrel, I wanted items that women would see as useful in their everyday lives. All of our selections are high-quality, too. It’s like my mother said, ‘do it right, or don’t do it at all.’”

A portion of the proceeds from Wynonna’s product line, which includes shirts, writing journals, cosmetic bag and wallets, will also go to Wounded Warrior Project.

Wynonna recently announced she plans to reunite with her mother, Naomi, for a final Judds tour later this year. She is presently touring in support of her critically acclaimed seventh solo studio album, Sing: Chapter 1, an eclectic assortment of standards paying homage to all the different genres and songs that have formed the soundtrack to her life.
