Phoenix Public Library is expanding its community conversations on social media with the launch of its new Facebook page. The Facebook page joins the library's postings on Twitter and YouTube.

Postings will promote conversation among the page's "fans." The community conversations will include customer book, movie and music reviews and answers to questions such as, "What are you reading this weekend?" The responses may be used in compilations such as an upcoming "Best of 2011" list that will be posted by year-end.

The library's Facebook postings also include breaking news and photos about library programs, events and resources, news about library trends, and information about the library such as locations and hours.

Phoenix Public Library is a system of 16 branch libraries and the Burton Barr Central Library. For more information, call (602) 262-4636 or visit phoenixpubliclibrary.org.
