POLITICS

In recent TV ads, Mitt Romney and Rick Perry have followed the Communists' rule that the ends justify the means, attacking President Obama with obvious lies.

Perry's ad denounces Obama for charging that Americans are lazy. In a dishonestly mangled quote, the president was answering a question concerning foreign investing in the U.S.

Here's the full quote: "There are a lot of things that make foreigners see the U.S. as a great opportunity. But we've been a little lazy, I think, over the past couple of decades." Perry omitted the first sentence, annihilating the context.

Besides joining Perry in his simple-minded distortion, Romney published his own lie. It shows Obama saying, "If we keep talking about the economy, we're going to lose."

Here's what he actually said, "Sen. McCain's campaign actually said, and I quote, If we keep talking about the economy, we're going to lose.'"

Democrats will surely counter with honest ads showing the opportunistic Romney's promiscuous flip-flops - on abortion, health care, global warming, gun control, immigration, TARP stimulus, stem-cell research, and gay rights.

I look forward to the GOP screams with keenly anticipated schadenfreude.
